The Effort - From Our Mistakes

Hello my dears. The redirect is gone, the site is active again, life is good.
So here's what's going on: If for some crazy reason you're here but you don't know what I worked on for the last couple of months, I decided I wanted my stuff to be put onto paper. Not books, mini-books, which will be released as "issues". This month I finally completed the very first issue and at the end of last week I sent out Afterglare Issue 001 to all the people who wanted one. All ten copies that I made have been accounted for. I want to say thanks again to everyone who voiced their excitement and want (wrong word? no care haha) for this project to happen. For those of you that just want to stay lurkers (I see you! I know you're out there!) and remain anonymous, I put up a PDF copy of AGR 001 that you can download. It's essentially the exact same thing that was sent out to everyone, except well, come on, it's way more awesome to actually hold something in your hands. Get the PDF of AGR 001 here: /ISSUES I wrote about pretty much the entire process over at the afterglare blog - the place where the site was redirected for the last month or so. I've actually enjoyed giving too much information and going on tangents that are way too long. I know that at least a few people read it, and I really appreciate it! My plan is to keep updating the blog regularly, probably once a week, as I start working on AGR 002, finish SWW, etc. I know that the last couple of entries have been a steady stream of AGR 001 related things, but I also post songs that get me into my writing mojo and I will talk about other stories soon too, so check it out. And if you've been reading it, keep on, don't stop just because the redirect is gone. The last sentence sounded so bossy. I am sorry. Also, I should mention that it's a tumblr blog, so if you've got a tumblr, it would be cool if you "followed" it :] BLOG.AFTERGLARE.COM The three chapters included in AGR 001 are from Destiny Part One: Venus Butterfly and have been slightly altered--copy edited--because now they're on paper forever, y'know? The issue version has a different title. VB is now Connection and you can read about the title change here. It will still remain as VB on the site though. However, I've decided to post the copy edited versions on here as well. If you decided to give VB a read right now the first three chapters are the same as they are in AGR 001. A working version of Chapter Four to be printed in AGR 002 also posted (SURPRISE!), but it's subject to change and so are all the rest of the chapters of VB. Same story, better grammar and less ambiguous fragment sentences. Back in March I posted a little one-shot Lana/Kieran story that was set between VB and RIIM. As self-loathing as I am about my writing, I read it the other day and I think it's cute. Since the site was so inactive for most of this year though I don't think many people got to read it. It's called If it Means A Lot to You and if you haven't already, give it a go. It's a revisit to the past. If you enjoy it, if you hate it, if you don't care about it...it'd be awesome if you left it a review. I've missed this. Thank you all so much. |
